Twelve Bayside playgrounds are getting a mega makeover in coming months.
The construction is the next phase of Council’s $10.3 million plan to upgrade every playground in Bayside over ten years.
New playground designs are being installed at Picnic Gardens, Sandringham and Illaroo Reserve, Beaumaris from this week.
The new playgrounds include exciting new play equipment, seating, drinking fountains (for people and pets!), landscaping and planting.
The playground designs were developed using feedback from our Bayside Playground Testers, big and little playground users and local residents.
Other playgrounds being upgraded over coming months:
- Beaumaris – Pasadena Avenue Reserve
- Brighton – Robert C. Grieve Park and Wilson Reserve
- Hampton – Holyrood Street Reserve, Myrtle Road and Alexander Park
- Hampton East – Basterfield Park South
- Highett – A.F. Peterson Reserve
- Sandringham – Bamfield Street Reserve and Allambee Park
