Thinking of putting your Bentleigh property on the market? With so many homes being sold under the hammer, auctioning might just be the best way to do it.
Recent stats from Property Data show strong, promising numbers in Melbourne's property auction scene.
The most recent report revealed 770 homes going into auction during the weekend, which represents a step up from the 673 homes put to auction in the same weekend last year. A healthy 74 per cent of the 770 homes were preliminarily cleared in the auction, which again is a jump from the 71 per cent cleared in the same weekend last year.
Houses had an easier time being cleared during auction, with 78 per cent being cleared, compared to the 66 per cent of units and apartments that cleared.
In fact, the entire month of August will continue to see exceptionally strong auction figures, with more than 4000 homes expected to have been put to auction by the end of the month. This will mark a record for homes being auctioned during August.
These figures not only portray a high volume of properties going on the market through auction, but a consistently high clearance rate by national standards. The overall climb in auction numbers reflect the strengthening of buyer activity and confidence across different price ranges, house sizes, and locations, revealing an opportune time for house sellers to take advantage of the rising auction market.
Bentleigh itself recorded four houses that sold through auction for at least $1million during the weekend. Perhaps yours will be the next to cash in big. Get in touch with Matt Hurlston and the team at Ray White Carnegie, and we can help you with putting your Bentleigh real estate to auction.
