Local Children’s Centres Open Doors

By Matt Hurlston

Young families with real estate in Carnegie will be pleased by a recent announcement from the Glen Eira City Council.

The Carnegie Children's Centre on Truganini Road will open its doors to parents of preschool children on February 20, according to a council statement released on January 28.

In addition, there will also be open days at the Caulfield and Murrumbeena Children's Centres.

The open day will run from 9:30 am to 10:30 am and will help families to make important early child care decisions by allowing them to view the centres and meet the experienced educators.

"When making decisions about child care, it's important that parents and children both feel comfortable in the centre environment," said Council Manager for Family and Children's Services Jill Jolliffe.

Community focus for lifelong learning

With limited enrolment figures and low child-to-staff ratios, Carnegie Children's Centre is the ideal place to foster young kids' growth and development.

Educational programs are offered, which account for children's own interests, cultural background and developmental phases.

Children are encouraged to discover the world around them. With Long Day Care and kindergarten programs offered, there is something for children as young as six months, right up to school-age.

Those looking for the perfect area to raise young children may consider giving experienced selling principal Matt Hurlston a call at Ray White Carnegie.
