By Matt Hurlston

Those who own real estate in Bentleigh should be ecstatic to find find out that the suburb's median house price is within $20,000 of breaching the $1million mark. For those looking to sell their homes in the coming months, now could be a great time to begin looking into your sales options across the Glen Eira region.

RP Data Victoria Housing Market specialist Robert Larocca said the latest list of million dollar suburbs recently rose to 50, which come as no surprise as Melbourne's property market continues to strengthen. Population growth and construction starts are helping to expand the landscape, alongside the overarching economic development happening nationwide.

Mr Larocca went on to say that Bentleigh has seen 97 homes sell for over $1million over the last 12 months – clear evidence of the upwards swing occurring in the region.
