Matt Hurlston of Ray White Carnegie: Celebrate summer with the Sunset Series

By Matt Hurlston

The annual Sunset Series is returning to Melbourne in January, and offers a variety of different activities for locals to enjoy. Residents of real estate in Bentleigh East will be met with live music, workshops for dance, food stalls and trucks, and a whole host of other engaging pursuits at the Fitzroy Gardens.

Lord mayor Robert Doyle said the annual free event was a showcase of Melbourne and all the creative, diverse aspects that make up the Victorian capital's bustling population.

"The Sunset Series is a celebration of summer and local talent, fittingly presented in one of Melbourne's internationally acclaimed parks," said Mayor Doyle in a 16 December statement.

Some of the performers expected to take the stage over two consecutive weekends include nine-piece South American Roots outfit Madre Monte, Beautiful Beasts, The Tiger and Me and Echo Drama – offering a smorgasbord of family-friendly entertainment over the second and third weekend of January.
