Matt Hurlston of Ray White Carnegie: Consider renovating your Bentleigh East home in 2015

By Matt Hurlston

As the new year quickly approaches, now's the time to start considering your resolutions list. And with the latest Housing Industry Association (HIA) release highlighting the increasing strength of the nation's renovation market, considering the changes and additions you could make to your real estate in Bentleigh East could be high on the cards.

The Renovations Roundup report has found that by 2018, the home renovations market is anticipated to have increase in renovation activity, growing by 10 per cent. And after falling in value following the global financial crisis, these numbers suggest renovations may be seeing something of a bounce-back.

HIA senior economist Shane Garrett said the risks involved with these expenses have been alleviated over the last few months, with 2015 expected to continue the growing trend.

"Activity is benefiting from a prolonged period of very low interest rates and growth in home prices over the past eighteen months," said Mr Garrett in a 18 December statement.
