Matt Hurlston of Ray White Carnegie: Embrace indigenous plants in your Glen Eira home today!

By Matt Hurlston

If you're looking for new, exciting ways to make your backyard into a vibrant, sustainable environment, it could be worth considering indigenous plants. These can add an interesting element to your real estate in Bentleigh, while helping boost the local ecological system.

An upcoming presentation in Glen Eira could be a great way to get started. On 21 April, St Kilda Indigenous Nursery Co-operative's David Sparks will be hosting the free event at Carnegie Library, which will provide invaluable information for all budding botanists to get some insight, ask some questions and really get their backyards flourishing.

Some of the topics that will be covered by Mr Sparks include attracting native fauna to your garden, how to stop plants from becoming overgrown, caring for the different plants and animals that you're likely to experience and much more.

Those with even a passing interest in gardening could gain a lot of the event, so be sure to check it out if you live in the area.
