The latest employment figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) could be just what you need to move to Murrumbeena real estate, as they show Victoria's workforce is thriving.

Employment levels grew 0.7 per cent in May, making it the strongest result in the whole country.

This means 19,500 new jobs were added across Victoria, while the rate of unemployment declined 0.2 per cent over the same period.

State treasurer Michael O'Brien said: "Today's positive jobs growth is further bolstered by this week's passing of the state budget, funding a $27 billion infrastructure program that will generate even more jobs, investment and productivity."
