Couples and families living in Hughesdale or Murrumbeena real estate will appreciate the improved delivery of Metro train services in the area, given recent figures from Public Transport Victoria (PTV).
The south-east Metro train line also runs through popular areas such as Oakleigh and Carnegie.
Minister for Public Transport Terry Mulder made an announcement on February 11 regarding the latest figures from PTV – all which point to increased punctuality and less overcrowding.
The Metro services have been gradually increasing train capacities, with a 15 per cent increase in passengers on some of the busiest weekday trams.
However, during the busy hour between 8 and 9 am, there was typically 9 per cent spare capacity, according to Mr Mulder. In October 2010, this figure was 23.2 per cent.
Between October 2010 and October 2013, the number of overcrowded trains over the month dropped from 57 to 29.
Improved infrastructure in the Victorian capital is a great selling point for those looking to sell their homes, whether it's real estate in Hughesdale, Murrumbeena, Oakleigh or Carnegie.
These suburbs are family-friendly and the recent figures from PTV show how easy it is to commute into the city.
