How long have you been in real estate?
I’m a complete newbie! This is my first job in Real Estate and I’m loving every minute of it!
What made you want to work in real estate?
I’ve always had a huge interest in Real Estate. I love working with people, and putting my organisation/admin skills to good use!
What do you enjoy most about being in Real Estate?
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed meeting and connecting with people through this job. Being in real estate creates a diverse community around you, which has enriched many aspects of my life.
What made you want to be a Property Manager?
I’ve been lucky enough to live abroad in Asia whilst I was in High School, this exposed me to a fairly intensive rental market. Moving back to Australia and renting as a young adult without my family gave me a lot of responsibility from a young age, but something I was familiarised with from previous experiences. I always observed the property managers that we reported to and thought “I want to do that!” – and well… here we are!
What do you think your greatest strength is?
I am able to communicate well with people, and like to think I’m always one step ahead! I’m a very empathetic person, so I like to make sure I’m doing everything I can to ensure I’m making everyone else’s day easier for them.
How do you view the Carnegie culture?
Everyone at Carnegie is incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. I love having a joke around in the office, and being able to have light-hearted moments with my colleagues. It’s definitely a home away from home workplace.
How do you wind down on a Sunday?
Usually a hot pilates class in the morning, followed by a trip to the beach with my dog and friends, a nice lunch in the sunshine, followed by reading a good book and a relaxing evening in with my partner!
Where is your dream location to buy a house?
Probably somewhere with lots of land, good views, close to the beach… and preferably warm!
What is something about you that surprises people when they hear it?
I’m originally from the UK. We moved to Sydney when I was 6, then to Singapore when I was 9, and finally Melbourne after I graduated school. I’m also the youngest of 6 siblings and a bit of a car nerd!
