Ray White Carnegie Team Celebrates Strongest Auction Weekend to Date

By Matt Hurlston

The Ray White Carnegie sales team are celebrating an exciting achievement as the summer draws to a close – our strongest weekend of auctions so far in 2013.

We had six properties under the hammer last weekend (February 23 and 24), five of which were sold – and all six of which saw strong bidding from interested buyers!

The type and price of the properties up for auction varied considerably, from $390,000 for a Caulfield South two-bedroom apartment to $903,000 for the charming period-style home at 15 Hatter Street in Oakleigh.

Last weekend’s auction success could be further evidence of shoots of recovery in the market – and if you are thinking about selling property in Carnegie, now could be the time to make your move. The Melbourne clearance rate for last weekend’s auctions stood at 73 per cent – and after four cash rate cuts made last year by the Reserve Bank of Australia, sellers could be poised to enjoy a very rewarding year!

If you are planning a sale, the team at Ray White Carnegie can help you through the process. Contact one of our agents today to find out more.
