Ray White Carnegie’s Matt Hurlston: Celebrate Victorian Seniors Festival in Melbourne

By Matt Hurlston

Celebrating the older generation is something we don't do often enough, but this upcoming week (5-12 October) could rectify that. The 2014 Victorian Seniors Festival aims to provide a range of different activities and events for our elderly residents, while celebrating their contributions to the community and encouraging them to stay active and healthy.

Minister for Ageing David Davis said helping our senior citizens remain happy and independent was an important goal to work towards achieving across Victoria.

"The Victorian Seniors Festival, now in its 32nd year, celebrates the contribution of older people to Victoria, with more than 1,500 events planned around the state during October. We encourage as many older Victorians as possible to get out and about at festival time, and enjoy the rich array of cultural, social, learning and active living events available," said Mr Davis in a 23 August statement.

This could be a great opportunity for residents of Carnegie real estate to get out and about with their older relatives and enjoy the celebratory atmosphere of the festival.
