Ray White Carnegie’s Matt Hurlston: October marks Glen Eira’s Community Safety Month

By Matt Hurlston

Community safety is important to foster in your local area. After all, creating an inclusive and inviting environment where people can live and grow in comfort is something we should all aim to achieve. In fact, October is Community Safety Month in Glen Eira, offering a number of different courses and educational events for residents of Carnegie real estate to attend.

The month aims to raise awareness of the various safety concerns that can often arise in communities, while providing the best options for people to achieve solutions. This includes discussions about safety concerns, safe work practices, emergency procedures and much more.

With a number of workshops planned for the month, the Gen Eira council is hoping to provide people with the tools and knowledge necessary to take care of each other across the local community. These events include events for elderly people on staying independent and mobile within the local area, CPR training, safe disposal of unwanted or unneeded medicines and many more.
