Young musicians looking for an opportunity to try their luck at something a little competitive could be interested in applying for the upcoming Sounds of Glen Eira concert. The event is being organised by the Glen Eira City Council's Youth Leadership Team, who are calling for any bands, acoustic acts, soloists, duos or vocalists to submit a demo CD and a short biography for a chance to enter the competition.
This could be brilliant for any young, aspiring talents living in Oakleigh real estate to show what they're made of in front of a live audience. Anyone aged between 10 and 25 can join, with the concert happening on Friday 12 September – giving plenty of time to practise and prepare for the opportunity to get up on stage and show the local community what you've got.
The event is being held at the Bentleigh McKinnon Youth Centre. If you win the contest, you'll win two days recording in the Plugged In music recording studio with a sound engineer to help record, mix and master your tracks.
