Victorian Kindergartens Are the Best in Australia

By Matt Hurlston

The highest quality early childhood education and care is found in Victoria, according to a new report from the Productivity Commission.

The '2014 Report of Government Services' found Victorian kindergartens and child services outperformed every other Australian state and territory, which is great news for young families living in Carnegie real estate.

Minister for Children and Early Childhood Development Wendy Lovell said the results were reached under a new rating and assessment regime that included measuring participation rates among 4 and 5 year olds.

"These results are a credit to Victorian parents who are increasingly becoming more aware of the very real benefits that a high-quality kindergarten program can bring to children," Ms Lovell said in a January 29 statement.

"Attending kindergarten lays the foundation for a child’s education, and can make a big difference to how children perform and succeed at school."

Families living in real estate in Carnegie have access to an excellent range of early childhood education in the Glen Eira municipality, such as the Carnegie Kindergarten, which has been offering high-quality early education in the area for nearly 100 years.

If early childhood education is an important factor when choosing where to buy property, speak with real estate professional Matthew Hurlston at Ray White Carnegie today.
