What does the future have in store for Carnegie residents?

By Matt Hurlston

When you move to an area, chances are you'll give some thought as to what it'll be like several years down the line.

After all, you don't want to invest in real estate in Carnegie only to find there are plans to build a railway line through your back yard, or a new police station across the road!

Thankfully if you're thinking of moving to the Melbourne area, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about what's in store.

The city council has released its four-year vision for the city – and the future looks bright.

Not only are there intentions to improve open spaces, but also extend cycle lanes and offer new facilities such as libraries.

From the planting of 3,000 new trees to introducing a toddler pool at the Carlton Baths redevelopment, there has never been a better time to live in Victoria.

Sounds pretty good, right? Melbourne and its suburbs are already great places to raise a family, but this four-year plan is just the icing on the cake.

Don't take our word for it – speak to Matt Hurlston at Ray White Carnegie and he'll be able to show you exactly what the area has to offer and more.
