In conjunction with the Victorian Seniors Festival, Glen Eira City Council's own senior celebrations will begin on Friday 4 October.
Senior residents of real estate in Bentleigh and other suburbs within the City of Glen Eira are invited to attend a month's worth of fun and informative events scheduled all through October.
The Glen Eira festival officially begins with a free concert at the town hall on Friday and continues with a wide range of events, including physical fitness activities and information sessions.
With a focus on encouraging seniors to stay active and social within the community, the festival is hosting events that promote interacting with many different people and visiting locations in Glen Eira.
Residents of the area have the opportunity to partake in a mixture of unique activities, including dance classes, multicultural suppers and information sessions on a number of interesting topics, like social media and antique appraisals.
Seniors who enjoy sports may enjoy the games of croquet, tennis and indoor bowls on offer. Most of these sporting clubs are active all through the year but sessions during the Victorian Seniors Festival are completely free.
