Why Buy in Carnegie and Malvern?

By Matt Hurlston

Real estate in Carnegie is a popular choice for families looking to settle down as well as couples looking for a friendly neighbourhood to call their own.

For instance, there are plenty of local parks dotted around this quaint Melbourne suburb, from Koornang Park that's bordered by Koornang Road, Lyons Street, Munro Ave and Mimosa Road to J T Packer park, which is between Oakleigh Road and Leila Road.

However, it's not just home owners who discover great opportunities around this area.

Investors who have secured nearby Bentleigh and Malvern East real estate are faced with high house prices, which are being pushed up due to the popularity of the area.

If capital growth continues, investors may find themselves with a tidy investment.

According to the Real Estate Institute of Victoria, there are now 52 Melbourne suburbs with a median house price sailing about the $1 million mark.

Bentleigh, Malvern and Malvern East were included in the figures.

While entering these markets as a first home buyer might be unrealistic, investors in the area may be able to attract young families looking for a secure place to live in.

With a selection of quality properties available, be sure to give Matt Hurlston a call at Ray White Carnegie if you're looking to buy in the area, whether you're a home buyer or investor.
