Brighter Minds in Bentleigh East

By Matt Hurlston

Families choose real estate in Bentleigh East to bring up their children and an announcement from the Premier of Victoria will provide a further boost to their children's education.

A $23 million capital works redevelopment project was announced on March 19 by Premier of Victoria Denis Napthine, with Coatesville Primary School one of three Victorian schools selected for massive redevelopment.

Real estate in Bentleigh East and surrounding suburbs is a hit with young families and works on Coatesville Primary will help stimulate young minds even further.

The school will be awarded up to $7.8 million to help improve its facilities in light of growing student enrolments, announced Dr Napthine.

"I am proud to have been able to secure the funding for this important upgrade, which will ensure that Coatesville Primary School remains a valuable asset for my local community," Dr Napthine explained.

A range of work will be completed on the school, including the addition of a new hall, as well as art and music buildings.

The administration buildings and junior school will be replaced and minor refurbishments will also be completed on the school grounds.

Access to quality local schools is important to parents and this announcement could even see an influx of young families to the area, potentially increasing capital values of real estate in Bentleigh and Bentleigh East – great news for existing property owners.
