Celebrate Australia Day in Carnegie

By Matt Hurlston

Australia Day is all about celebrating life Down Under and residents of real estate in Carnegie  have plenty of choices for events to mark this important day.

Australia Day Breakfast

Begin the day by attending the Glen Eira City Council's Australia Day Breakfast.

This event, held at the Glen Eira Town Hall on Friday, January 24 at 7.30am, will include an awards ceremony to honour Glen Eira's Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Group of the Year.

Monash City events

Families living in real estate in Oakleigh and surrounding suburbs can enjoy a full day of fun activities around Monash City.

On Sunday, 26 January the Civic Centre will be open to all for a free day of celebrations, including the Flag Raising Ceremony, dance lessons, face painting and a community barbecue.

Also, Oakleigh City Band will be holding a free concert in Warrawee Park between 11am and midday.

Head to the official council websites for more information on what other Australia Day events are available in the area.

Additionally, if you are interested in purchasing real estate in this family friendly community, speak with Matthew Hurlston at Ray White Carnegie today.
