Christmas in Carnegie

By Matt Hurlston

The silly season is once again upon us and there are plenty of opportunities for residents of real estate in Carnegie to get out and celebrate with friends, family and the wider community.

Storytime with Santa

Santa and his elf will be reading entertaining Christmas stories to children in libraries across neighbouring Stonnington between December 16 and 22.

This is a popular, free event for children under 10 so bookings are essential. More information and bookings can be found on the Stonnington council website.

Carols in the Park

Owners of real estate in Bentleigh can head down the road on Sunday December 8 for Carols in the Park at Bentleigh Hodgson Reserve.

Gather up the family to enjoy market stalls and gourmet food on offer from 2 p.m.. Activities will be available to amuse the kids, such as cooking, face painting and storytelling.

Musical entertainment will be hosted by Spencer Mclaren from 'The Secret Life of Us' and a special surprise visitor (do we hear jingle bells?).

Carols by Candlelight

The Monash Carols by Candlelight will be held from 4 p.m. on Sunday December 15 at Jells Park on Wheelers Hill.

The main concert will get underway at 8 p.m., with a spectacular fireworks display scheduled at 10 p.m..
