Do you know someone in your local community that has done wonderful things for the area through their community work? Now's the time to get them the recognition they deserve, with the Glen Eira City Council Volunteer Recognition Program opening nominations for special awards to recognise their efforts.
Glen Eira mayor Jim Magee said voting for people involved in not-for-profit causes can be done across six categories: volunteers who have worked 500, 1000 or 2000 hours of service, or those who have 10, 20 or 30 years of continuous voluntary service.
"Everyday, volunteers enrich the lives of people right across the City of Glen Eira. [The] Council is delighted to have the opportunity to recognise the contribution volunteers make," said Mr Magee in a 27 January statement.
Nominations for the award close on 13 March, so get sure to get in quick!
