Population Boom Encourages Parents to Get in Quick for Childcare

By Matt Hurlston

With 89 per cent of Victoria's population growth between 2012 and 2013 originating from the greater Melbourne area, it's no surprise that the city is tipped as one to watch in 2013.

The dramatic growth figures were released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on April 3 and highlight the importance of sound infrastructure planning across Melbourne so that residents of real estate in Carnegie and beyond can have a truly enjoyable lifestyle.

Families flock to areas like Carnegie and are keen on snapping up Murrumbeena real estate, too. The areas help foster a great lifestyle for young families with an excellent selection of parks and education facilities available.

The City of Glen Eira is encouraging parents of children who were born between May 1 2011 and April 30 2012 to enrol them in kindergartens in the area from May 1, so they can attend them as four year olds in 2016.

Enrolment procedures change between three and four year olds, so it's important for parents to understand the system to ensure the best start for their kids.

Enrolment forms are provided on the council website. Families considering a fresh start to bring up their children may wish to get in touch with experienced Selling Principal Matt Hurlston at Ray White Carnegie.
