Melbourne's southeast has a range of fantastic suburbs. Purchasing real estate in Armadale, Malvern, Carnegie or any of the surrounding areas has already been the right idea for thousands of Australians, and could be for you.
Not sure where to look for a property of your own? Here is a quick glance at some of them.
Armadale
Armadale is about 20 minutes from the Melbourne CBD, with easy access to beachside suburbs such as St Kilda and the many amenities of the city itself. High Street, which dissects this peaceful suburb, is well-known for having a number of boutique fashion shops, with some excellent cafes thrown in the mix, too.
Carnegie
Carnegie is just a bit further southeast and is popular for having beautiful houses and plenty to do. There are loads of art deco homes here, and the streets are shaded by luminous, relaxing trees.
The main business district of this suburb is Koornang Road, also known as Carnegie Main Street. This fantastic area has over 200 shops, cafes and other services, ranging from food to fashion, jewellery to hair dressing and plenty more.
Chadstone
If you love a good mix of tranquil living and excellent shopping, there's likely a Chadstone property for you. It has plenty of open, green spaces, including Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park and the Batesford, Jordan and Caloola Reserves.
On top of all that is also the amazing Chadstone Shopping Centre – self-proclaimed as Australia's fashion capital. This gorgeous building has the largest collection of boutique fashion outlets and high-class brands in the country, according to its website.
Malvern
Real estate in Malvern and Malvern East is for those who want a peaceful lifestyle, with numerous facilities close at hand. Malvern Valley Public Golf Course lies in the eastern region of these areas, with Darling and Central Park both pleasant places for a picnic. If you're into horse racing, you'll also be delighted to know that Caufield Racecourse is adjacent to this area and is a highly regarded facility.
